What we do

Windsor Digital is a Melbourne-based online ordering platform for independent Australian restaurants and hospitality venues. We give every venue a branded ordering page, real-time orders dashboard, table QR codes, and Stripe payments — set up in under 10 minutes from a single photograph of the paper menu.

Our pricing is simple and the same for everyone: 2% per transaction. No monthly fee. No setup cost. No contract. No lock-in. If you stop taking orders we stop charging you.

Why we built it

Most independent restaurants and cafés in Australia still rely on physical menus, verbal ordering, and manual EFTPOS payments — or they hand 25–35% of every order to delivery marketplaces. The existing online-ordering platforms either cater to large venue chains with complex POS integrations, charge monthly fees that don't make sense for a small operator, or both.

We built Windsor Digital for the operator who wants to go digital this week, on their own terms, without a contract, a sales call, or a setup fee. A 25-seat café in Brunswick should be able to launch a branded ordering page tonight and start taking direct orders tomorrow morning.

Who's behind it

Windsor Digital is the work of a small, founder-led team based in Melbourne. The platform was founded and is led by James Resnick, who writes most of what appears on this blog and answers every email that lands in management@windsordigital.com.au.

We work directly with the restaurants and cafés using the platform — every feature we ship is informed by a conversation with an actual operator about what they're trying to do that day.

How we make money

One way: the 2% platform fee on transactions our restaurant partners process. That's it. We don't sell customer data, run ads in your ordering page, take commissions from suppliers, or upsell other restaurants to your customers. Your customers' contact details belong to you and are exportable from your dashboard.

The business is structured this way deliberately. If Windsor Digital isn't driving real revenue for the venues using it, we don't get paid. That keeps our incentives aligned with the restaurants, not against them.

The platform is built specifically around Australian payment rails (Stripe AU), Australian time zones, the Australian dollar, and Australian consumer expectations.
